Dear SANA Members,
The year has nearly drawn to an end and everyone seems to be in high spirits this Festive period. My term in office has flown by, and it is almost unreal to think that this will be my last Season’s Greetings to all of you. I have loved being able to give back to the industry - thank you for giving me this opportunity.
I am excited to hand over the reigns to Wayne Stewart and know that he will be an excellent leader. Currently President Elect, he will step into the position as President at our Annual General meeting in May 2012. Congratulations to him!
2011 has been a really busy and productive year for SANA ... a few highlights: Our SANA Convention 2011 was held in Bloemfontein and was hugely successful. Our Trade Fair continues to grow and attracts more and more visitors each year. Apart from the Garden Centre Competition, Green Business Magazine and other routine projects, SANA has also focussed on regional development and membership support. Members of the Standing Committee visited Port Elizabeth in early November, to assist the region in forming a Forum. The frequency of communication to members has increased, and we are excited that Facebook has created another avenue to chat to members. This year has also seen an active membership drive undertaken by means of cold calling and member telephonic PR has also been done.
We are working to make 2012 another wonderful year for SANA and its members and we are already busy planning various projects. We invite you to make use of each and every opportunity we offer to take part in our projects and events. Put SANA Convention 2012 in your dairy and join us at Ocean View, Strand from 16 - 18 May 2012 ... it promises to be a fantastic event!
